In response to events like fires or accidents, insurance companies offer policies to shield individuals from financial losses. Before providing coverage, the insurer typically assesses the risk associated with the individual or property. This assessment may involve gathering information about the individual's health history, family background, or property details. It's crucial for the insured to provide accurate and complete information during this process. Failure to disclose relevant details may result in coverage issues later on.

Once coverage is in place, if an insured individual experiences a covered loss—such as a health-related issue requiring medical treatment or damage to insured property—the next step is to file a claim with the insurer. The claims process involves submitting documentation and evidence of the loss to the insurer, who then evaluates the claim and determines the appropriate compensation. This compensation could include covering medical expenses, repairing or replacing damaged property, or providing financial support in other applicable scenarios.
